GRP1060B George Foreman

GRP1060B George Foreman

When I got a chance to try the 4 serving GRP1060B grill with removable plates I went for it. Let me explain my starting point of view and expectations for this 4 serving grill.

I have used George Foreman (GF) 2 serving "Champ" grills for decades and I'm a definite fan. I use mine for almost every meal I prepare at home in the evening. They have been very consistent across many of them so I have developed a very specific view of the GF experience.

These are great for me and one guest at dinner, not more. These Champ models all have fixed grill plates and I've had removable plate "envy" since it seems so convenient for cleanup. I had high expectations for the GRP1060B 4 serving model.

The Grill Itself:

When I unpacked the GF I was surprised now much bigger it seemed, but that was me just being used to the smaller ones. There are two lights on the top - one for when it is on and one for when it is heating-up. A nicer touch than the one light on my older GF Champ grill. The grease tray has a shape that locks it into place centered under the edge of the grill. Also a nice design element.

One place that new models of the GF grills have a common shortcoming is the length of the power cord. My older GF grills have 35 inch cords.
